August Newsletter

Hello everyone and a warm welcome to my very first newsletter!

My latest album, Time to Feel Love, has been so well received and I’m really grateful for the attention it’s getting. I’m so looking forward to performing songs from the album at The Newcastle Jazz Festival 24 August, 6:30 pm in the Hunter Room, The Civic Theatre Newcastle. It will be great to perform again with the amazing musicians who collaborated and played with me on the album.

I’ve been quite busy lately playing and writing, but the big news is I’m about to go into the studio again and record with the wonderful band, Bonnie Kay and the Sweet Patooties. We are so excited as this will be our debut album and we have a bunch of songs, mostly originals, that we are road testing live. Audience reactions have been super encouraging! Bonnie Kay and the Sweet Patooties will also be performing at The Newcastle Jazz Festival Saturday 24 August 12:15 pm in the Cummings room and 2:45 pm in the Concert Hall.

If you haven’t already, I encourage you to check out my website – carolynpackermusic.com (and if you’re reading this newsletter from my website…GO YOU!). You can do all the usual stuff like hear samples of my music, see where I’m playing, read a bit about me and buy my albums! You can even sign up for more newsletter from me! I’ll be keeping things up-to-date so you’ll know where I’m playing and when. A recent post is my interview with Ross M Fear on his Australian Spectrum Show. Ross and I had a great chat, and he played lots of my music – from the brand new to things out of the vault!

Talk soon!

Carolyn.
