On this album I have set out to explore and approach each song with depth and honesty. I am hoping you will hear my playing and singing in a new light. This sound is different from any other recording I have made; one I have been working on for years.  I felt it was time to show up and be myself.

Time to Feel Love is an album that will take you on a journey through time and space, in a rich tapestry of styles, yet unified throughout with groove and swing.

I am so grateful to have collaborated with such talented players on this recording. Guitarist, Cameron Jones has played an integral part in its making. You will hear in his playing not only mastery of technique, but a passion in his melodies and rhythms as he weaves in and out with sensitivity and space.

Jim Lyons on trumpet has been playing professionally for over six decades. Always the listener, Jim’s playing is never contrived. His understated lines add subtlety, depth and character to the ensemble.

The rhythm section made up of Oscar Peterson on bass and Chilean, Francisco Rojas on drums provide the driving swing with skill and artistry making the listener want to dance and groove.

A special mention goes to David Seidel on bass. His acoustic contributions on two tracks elevate the album, particularly our exploration in a modern blues style on the songs Django by John Lewis and Dat Dere by Bobby Timmons.

The band’s recorded this album at Electric Avenue Studios, where Sound Engineer, Phil Punch, really captured the ambience and textures you’ll hear on this album.
