Carolyn’s Projects

A consummate entertainer, Carolyn always has a variety of project on the go, including leading her band the Stompin’ Rhythm Aces, playing piano, organ and keyboards in several bands, guesting with other musicians and bands and doing session work.

New Album – Time To Feel Love!

Release Date: 17 March 2024

I’m so excited to launch my brand new album Time To Feel Love.

I have assembled an electrifying band of musicians for this project and I’m so excited for you all to hear it!

It will be available on CD and you can download it here, along with my first 2 albums.

Cameron Jones and I will be touring up and down the north east-coast of Australia to promote the album. Please see the poster below or the Live Shows page for tour dates and venues.

Carolyn Packer’s Stompin’ Rhythm Aces

This fantastic jazz band was originally known as Bill Dudley’s New Orleanians, led by the great trumpet player Bill Dudley.

The Stompin’ Rhythm Aces were formed from this band after Bill left Sydney for warmer climates. Seeing the talent in this band, Carolyn seized the opportunity to lead this band, rebranding it as the Stompin’ Rhythm Aces.

The band have recorded two acclaimed albums under her leadership and still play together regularly.

Bonnie Kay and the Sweet Patooties

Carolyn has played with Bonnie Kay for the last 5 years in several bands. Recently they formed the Sweet Patooties along with other fantastic female musicians. They play a raunchy and engaging mix of blues, rock and folk!

Keep an eye on them! They’re going places!

Danny and the Dee Gees

Carolyn has played keyboards in this great rock covers band for about 18 months. The band are sought after for gigs of all occasions.
